The American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund

The American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund

The American Red Cross, a humanitarian organization led by volunteers and guided by its congressional charter and the Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, provides relief to victims of disaster and helps people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies.

Every year the American Red Cross assists more than 600,000 disaster victims across the nation. In fact, every eight minutes its volunteers and employees help individuals whose homes, stability and peace of mind have been rocked by disaster.

The Disaster Relief Fund enables the American Red Cross to provide timely and direct relief assistance and life-saving services to victims of natural and man-made disasters. The fund allows the organization to provide immediate emergency assistance including food, shelter, clothing, physical and mental health services and basic relief services. Its mission is to help the individuals, families, communities – and ultimately the nation – recover from sudden catastrophes that threaten to break America’s resolve.

All American Red Cross disaster assistance is free, made possible by voluntary donations of time and money from the American people. Your donation to the Disaster Relief Fund helps the victims of the more than 67,000 disasters that take place across the nation every year.

The American Red Cross will always be there for people whenever disaster strikes.

For those Fovy users who choose to support the American Red Cross, the majority of advertising profit generated by you will be directed to the Disaster Relief Fund.
